Tallow

Our grass fed beef tallow is rendered from our own grass fed, grass finished beef fat and processed by Farm Broth, a USDA-inspected facility in Georgia. The fat is rendered low and slow, then carefully filtered for clarity, resulting in a pure, clean tallow with a smooth, creamy texture and a mild, rich flavor.

Tallow has been a trusted kitchen staple for generations and for good reason. With a high smoke point and exceptional stability at cooking temperatures, it is ideal for searing, frying, roasting vegetables, and cooking eggs. Roasted or fried potatoes in particular reach an entirely different level in beef tallow — crispy, golden, and deeply savory in a way that no vegetable oil can replicate. It imparts a subtle, savory depth that cooking oils simply cannot match. It is also free from the chemical solvents and additives found in many industrial seed oils.

Beyond the kitchen, tallow is increasingly recognized for its skin-nourishing properties and can be used as a natural moisturizer — though at Wishbone we'll leave that to you to explore.
