Description
Pasture-raised pork fat for those who prefer to render their own or add fat where it's needed most.
Leaf Fat is the dense, hard fat found around the kidneys and loin — the premium choice for rendering into lard for baking, including pie crusts and biscuits. Sold in 2 lb packs.
Fatback is the all-purpose workhorse — render it into lard for cooking, incorporate it into sausage blends, or add it to a grind of lean wild game like venison where extra fat is needed to improve texture and flavor. Sold in 2 lb packs (save 20% over leaf fat).
Prefer a ready-made option? We carry our own rendered pasture-raised pork lard in 16 oz containers, and grass-fed beef tallow and beef fat are also available in the shop.
